Storytime Never Gets Old - Where to Find the Best Stories!
November 11, 2008
Kids love storytime. Moms love watching kids love storytime. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate imagination, make-believe, learning, and, of course, being entertained by a great storyteller! So, here are my picks for great storytimes in the Fort Worth area.
1. Southlake library. They do it all here! There are storytimes ranging from lap babies to age 5. And, they also have special events throughout the year - not just during the summer. You will always find something fun and it is definitely worth the short drive north.
2. Booker's Alley Cable Program. Booker the Armadillo tells stories via cable channel 31. So, when your kids (or you) are feeling icky or the weather's bad, turn on the tube for a fun storytime! Booker also does live storytelling at the Fort Worth Central Library. Check out all the library story fun in Fort Worth here.
3. Grapevine Library. Another do-it-all location. They have stories for al ages and a lot of crafts and special events. Take advantage of the creative minds running this library!
4. Barnes and Noble Bookstore hosts storytimes for all ages several days a week. My favorite part of this one is that they have a Saturday storytime for those of us who work during the week! Kudos to B&N - we thank you! Each location has something slightly different, so check them out here.
Share with me and the readers here where your favorite storytimes are. Have a great story-telling day!
